Humility of the Prophet and His Companions

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his companions were so humble that even when it rained on them, they smelled like sheep.

Narrated Abu Burdah: My father said to me: My son, if you had seen us while we were with the Messenger of Allah and the rain had fallen on us, you would have thought that our smell was the smell of the sheep.

QUICK LESSONS:
Remain humble no matter what your situation is in life; Strive to be kind and generous to others regardless of your own circumstances or status in life

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the humility of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his companions. It was narrated by Abu Burdah, who said that his father told him that if he had seen them while they were with the Messenger of Allah and it was raining on them, he would have thought their smell was like that of sheep. This shows how humble they were; even when it rained on them, their smell did not change from what it usually was. They remained humble despite any external circumstances or conditions. This teaches us to remain humble no matter what our situation is in life; we should always strive to be kind and generous to others regardless of our own circumstances or status in life.
