Gratitude for Sustenance and Clothing

SUMMARY: Eating and wearing should be done with gratitude to Allah for providing us with sustenance and clothing.

Narrated Mu'adh ibn Anas: The Prophet said: If anyone eats food and then says: "Praise be to Allah Who has fed me with this food and provided me with it through no might and power on my part," he will be forgiven his former and later sins. If anyone puts on a garment and says: "Praise be to Allah Who has clothed me with this and provided me with it through no might and power on my part," he will be forgiven his former and later sins.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us the importance of expressing gratitude to Allah for providing us with sustenance and clothing. We should remember that it is only through His might and power that we are able to have these things, so we must thank Him whenever we eat or wear something. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said that if someone expresses this gratitude, they will be forgiven their past sins as well as any future sins they may commit. This shows how important it is to express our thanksgiving towards Allah in all aspects of life.
