This hadith is about the Prophet's attack on the tribe of Bani Mustaliq. It was narrated by Ibn 'Aun who wrote a letter to Nafi', who then replied with a narration from Ibn 'Umar, who was part of the army at that time. The Prophet attacked them suddenly while they were unaware, killing their fighting men and taking their women and children as captives. One of these captives was Juwairiya, whom he got on that day.
