Strive for justice and fairness in our dealings with others

This hadith is about the emancipation of slaves. A man passed away and left behind six slaves, with no other property. When the Prophet was informed about this, he cast lots among them to decide who would be freed from slavery. Two were chosen to be freed while four remained enslaved. This shows us that even though it is important to free those who are enslaved, it is also important to consider practical matters such as financial stability when making decisions like these. It teaches us that we should always strive for justice and fairness in our dealings with others, but we must also take into account practical considerations when making decisions so as not to cause harm or hardship for anyone involved.
