QUICK LESSONS:
Provide basic rights & require them to do some kind of work
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the requirement of work for slaves in Islam as a part of their duties and responsibilities towards their masters or owners. It is narrated by Rawh bin Ubadah from Said bin Abu Arubah that if a slave is owned by someone then they should be required to do some kind of work or labor as per the agreement between them and their master or owner according to Islamic teachings and traditions which are based on justice and fairness for both parties involved in this relationship . The hadith also mentions that this requirement has been transmitted by Jarir bin Hazim and Musa bin Khalaf from Qatadah through the chain of Yazid bin Zurai with similar words mentioned in it . This shows us how important it was for Muslims to ensure justice even when dealing with slaves who were not given any rights at that time .

The main idea behind this hadith is that slavery should not be used as an excuse to exploit people but rather it should be seen as an opportunity to provide them with basic rights such as food, shelter and clothing along with requiring them to do some kind of work so they can contribute towards society in some way or another . This teaches us about the importance of justice even when dealing with those who are less fortunate than us .
