Remember to mention Allah's Name before you eat or do anything else in your life

This hadith tells us about the importance of mentioning Allah’s name before we eat. It was narrated by Umayyah ibn Makhshi that he was sitting with a man who was eating but did not mention Allah’s name until there remained only one morsel. When he raised it to his mouth, he said “In the name of Allah at the beginning and at the end of it”. The Prophet laughed and said that when this man mentioned God’s name, whatever food that was in his stomach which had been eaten by Satan vomited out. This teaches us that when we remember to mention God’s name before we eat or do anything else in our lives, then Satan will be unable to harm us or take away any blessings from us. We should always remember to thank God for all His blessings and ask Him for protection against evil forces like Satan so that He can keep blessing us with His mercy and grace throughout our lives.
