Abide by Islamic teachings and traditions; Avoid forbidden drinks; Obey Allah's commands

This hadith discusses the prohibition of drinking muzza which is a type of drink made from unripe dates. It was reported by Qatadah on the authority of Jabir b. Zaid and 'Ikrimah that they disapprove this drink as it may not be muzza from which the people of Abd al-Qais were prohibited by Allah. When asked what muzza was, Qatadah replied that it was a drink made from dates in a green jar or vessels smeared with pitch. Therefore, this hadith teaches us to stay away from such drinks as they are prohibited according to Islamic teachings and traditions.
