Cursing of Wine and its Participants

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ cursed those who are involved in the production and consumption of wine.

Narrated Abdullah ibn Umar: The Prophet said: Allah has cursed wine, its drinker, its server, its seller, its buyer, its presser, the one for whom it is pressed, the one who conveys it, and the one to whom it is conveyed.
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعُ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ أَبِي عَلْقَمَةَ، مَوْلاَهُمْ وَعَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْغَافِقِيِّ أَنَّهُمَا سَمِعَا ابْنَ عُمَرَ، يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ "‏ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ الْخَمْرَ وَشَارِبَهَا وَسَاقِيَهَا وَبَائِعَهَا وَمُبْتَاعَهَا وَعَاصِرَهَا وَمُعْتَصِرَهَا وَحَامِلَهَا وَالْمَحْمُولَةَ إِلَيْهِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet's condemnation of wine and those who are involved in its production, consumption, sale, or transportation. The Prophet cursed all those who partake in any way with wine. He warned that Allah has cursed them for their involvement with this intoxicant. This hadith serves as a reminder to Muslims to stay away from alcohol and other intoxicants as it is forbidden in Islam. It also teaches us that we should not be involved in any activities related to alcohol or drugs as it can lead us astray from the path of righteousness.
