Always strive to tell the truth even if it may be difficult or uncomfortable. Respect prophets and never lie about them.

This hadith is about the consequences of lying about the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). It was narrated by 'Abd Allah bin al-Zubair, who said that he asked his father why he did not narrate traditions from the Messenger of Allah as his Companions did. His father replied that he was very close to him and heard him say that anyone who lies about him deliberately will come to their abode in Hell. This hadith teaches us that lying is a major sin and those who do it will be punished severely in Hell.
