QUICK LESSONS:
Respect life & Faith in God Alone
EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us that it is forbidden to pay money for certain things. These include paying for a dog, hiring a prostitute, and giving gifts to soothsayers. Dogs are not meant to be bought or sold as they are considered part of God's creation and should be treated with respect. Similarly, prostitution is forbidden in Islam as it goes against the teachings of morality and modesty. Lastly, soothsayers are people who claim to have supernatural powers which can predict the future or tell fortunes; this practice is also prohibited in Islam as it goes against the teachings of faith in God alone. All these activities go against Islamic values such as respect for life and faith in God alone; therefore Muslims should avoid them at all costs.
