Sunan Abi Dawud 3465 (Book 24, Hadith 50) #23755
Generosity and Giving to Those in Need

SUMMARY: This hadith is about the importance of being generous and giving to those who do not possess things.

The tradition mentioned above has also been transmitted by Ibn Abi al-Mujahid through a different chain of narrators. This version has: "to those people who did not possess these things". Abu Dawud said: What is correct is Ibn Abi al-Mujahid. Shu'bah made a mistake in it.
