Sunan Abi Dawud 3462 (Book 24, Hadith 47) #23752
The Importance of Striving in the Way of Allah

SUMMARY: This hadith is about the importance of continuing to strive in the way of Allah and not giving up on it, as it will lead to disgrace if one does so.

Narrated Abdullah ibn Umar: I heard the Messenger of Allah, say: When you enter into the 'inah transaction, hold the tails of oxen, are pleased with agriculture, and give up conducting jihad (struggle in the way of Allah). Allah will make disgrace prevail over you, and will not withdraw it until you return to your original religion.
