QUICK LESSONS:
Be honest and truthful at all times .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us that deceit and dishonesty are not acceptable in Islam. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was passing by a man selling grain when he asked him how he was selling it. When the man told him, revelation came down to the Prophet telling him to put his hand into the grain. He did so and found it damp, which meant that the man had been deceiving people about its quality. The Prophet then said “He who deceives has nothing to do with us” meaning that those who deceive have no place in the Muslim community as they are not following Islamic teachings of honesty and truthfulness. This hadith also teaches us about being careful when buying things from others as we should always make sure we know what we are buying is of good quality before making a purchase.
