Be honest in your dealings . Respect other people's property . Observe fairness when dealing with others .

This hadith explains the rights of buyers when purchasing sheep or goats. If a buyer purchases a sheep or goat whose udders have been tied up and he milks it but is not pleased with the purchase then he has the right to return it. However in this case there is an obligation on him to give one sa' of dates as payment for milking the animal. This hadith teaches us that we should be honest in our dealings and that we should respect other people's property even if we are not satisfied with what we have purchased from them. It also teaches us that fairness should be observed when dealing with others; if something was taken from someone then they should be compensated for their loss.
