Sahih al-Bukhari 2478 (Book 46, Hadith 39) #2373
Destruction of Idols in Mecca

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) entered Mecca and destroyed the idols around the Ka'ba while reciting a verse from the Quran.

Narrated 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud: The Prophet entered Mecca and (at that time) there were three hundred-and-sixty idols around the Ka'ba. He started stabbing the idols with a stick he had in his hand and reciting: "Truth (Islam) has come and Falsehood (disbelief) has vanished".

QUICK LESSONS:
Worship only Allah , Spread truth , Eliminate falsehood .

EXPLANATIONS:
When Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) entered Mecca, he found that there were 360 idols around the Ka’ba. He took a stick and started to destroy them while reciting a verse from the Quran which said “Truth (Islam) has come and Falsehood (disbelief) has vanished”. This hadith teaches us that we should not worship anything other than Allah as it is shirk or associating partners with Allah which is one of the biggest sins in Islam. We should also strive to spread truth and eliminate falsehood wherever we can.
