Selling Fruits According to Islamic Law

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ forbade the sale of fruits until they were in good condition and ordered that they should not be sold but for dinar or dirham except Araya.

Narrated Jabir ibn Abdullah: The Prophet forbade the sale of fruits till they were clearly in good condition , and (ordered that) they should not be sold but for dinar or dirham except Araya.
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الطَّالْقَانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلاَحُهُ وَلاَ يُبَاعُ إِلاَّ بِالدِّينَارِ أَوْ بِالدِّرْهَمِ إِلاَّ الْعَرَايَا
