QUICK LESSONS:
Follow Islamic teachings instead of pre-Islamic practices , Be mindful about one's actions , Show respect towards living creatures and those who have passed away .
EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught that it is not permissible to slaughter animals at graves, as this was a practice of the pre-Islamic era. This hadith serves as a reminder to Muslims that they should not follow the practices of those before them, and instead focus on following the teachings of Islam. It also teaches us to be mindful of our actions and how they may affect others, as animal slaughter can be seen as disrespectful towards those who are buried in the grave. Furthermore, it teaches us to be conscious of our environment and how we interact with it; by refraining from animal slaughter at graves we are showing respect for both living creatures and those who have passed away.
