Respect those who have passed away by visiting their grave sites as a sign of respect for them and their legacy

This hadith narrates the story of Al-Qasim ibn Muhammad ibn AbuBakr visiting the graves of Prophet Muhammad, Abu Bakr and Umar. He asked his mother Aisha to show him their graves which she did. The graves were neither high nor low but spread with soft red pebbles in an open space. It is said that the Messenger of Allah was forward, Abu Bakr was near his head and 'Umar was near his feet with his head at the feet of the Messenger of Allah. This hadith teaches us to respect those who have passed away by visiting their grave sites as a sign of respect for them and their legacy. It also teaches us to remember our beloved ones even after they are gone from this world as we can still visit their grave sites in order to remember them fondly.
