Sunan Abi Dawud 3076 (Book 20, Hadith 149) #23366
Rights of Land Cultivators

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught that land belongs to Allah and those who cultivate it have more right to it.

Narrated Urwah: I testify that the Messenger of Allah decided that the land is the land of Allah, and the servants are the servants of Allah. If anyone brings barren land into cultivation, he has more right to it. This tradition has been transmitted to us from the Prophet by those who transmitted the traditions about prayer from him.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the rights of people who cultivate barren land. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught that all land belongs to Allah, but those who bring barren land into cultivation have more right to it than others. This means that if someone takes a piece of land which is not being used and makes something out of it, they should be given the right to use and benefit from what they created. This hadith also teaches us about the importance of hard work and dedication in order for us to achieve our goals in life. It also shows us how we should respect other people's efforts and give them their due rights when they put in hard work for something.
