Assign fiefs , Levy Zakats

This hadith speaks about the importance of assigning fiefs and levying zakat. The Prophet Muhammad assigned Bilal ibn al-Harith al-Muzani the mines of al Qabaliyyah which is in the neighbourhood of Al Fur'. This assignment was made so that only zakat would be levied on these mines up until today. This hadith teaches us that it is important to assign fiefs in order to ensure that taxes are collected properly and fairly. It also teaches us about the importance of paying zakat as a form of charity for those who are less fortunate than us. Furthermore, it shows us how even after centuries have passed since this assignment was made by the Prophet Muhammad, it still stands true today as a reminder for all Muslims to pay their due taxes and help those in need through charity.
