Perfection in Traditions

SUMMARY: The hadith is about the importance of following a perfect version of a tradition.

The tradition mentioned above has also been transmitted by 'Umar through a different chain of narrators". He said "The Apostle of Allaah said to the same effect. The former version is ore perfect".
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ، مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ عُمَرَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ بِمَعْنَاهُ وَالأَوَّلُ أَتَمُّ
