Follow orders given by superiors, Be responsible for your actions/duties/responsibilities

This hadith is about how Umar neglected to send expeditions by turns every year as commanded by the Prophet. When the people of expedition appointed on the frontier came back, Umar took serious action against them even though they were companions of the Prophet. This hadith teaches us that we should not neglect our duties and responsibilities even if it is something small or insignificant because it can have a big impact in our lives and those around us. We should also be mindful of how we treat others regardless if they are close to us or not because everyone deserves respect and kindness no matter what their status is in society.
