Sunan Abi Dawud 2912 (Book 19, Hadith 28) #23202
Appointing Muslim Heirs

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught that Islam increases and does not diminish, and that a Muslim should be appointed as the heir of a non-Muslim.

Narrated Mu'adh ibn Jabal: I heard the Messenger of Allah say: Islam increases and does not diminish. He, therefore, appointed a Muslim heir (of a non-Muslim).

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught us an important lesson about inheritance. He said that Islam increases and does not diminish, meaning that it is important to spread the teachings of Islam in order to make it stronger. He also said that when someone passes away, a Muslim should be appointed as their heir if they are not already one. This shows us how important it is to take care of our fellow Muslims even after death by making sure they are taken care of financially. It also teaches us the importance of spreading the teachings of Islam so we can make sure more people benefit from its teachings in this life and beyond.
