Inheritance for Emancipated Slaves

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) assigned the estate of a deceased man to his emancipated slave, even though he had no other heirs.

Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas: A man died leaving no heir but a slave whom he had emancipated. The Messenger of Allah asked: Has he any heir? They replied: No, except a slave whom he had emancipated. The Messenger of Allah assigned his estate to him (the emancipated slave).
