Rights of Heirs

SUMMARY: Everyone has a right to what is due to them and no bequest should be made to an heir.

Narrated AbuHurayrah: I heard the Messenger of Allah say: Allah has appointed for everyone who has a right what is due to him, and no bequest must be made to an heir.

QUICK LESSONS:
Ensure fairness in dealings with others especially when it comes to matters of inheritance and wealth distribution.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the rights of heirs when it comes to inheritance. It is narrated by AbuHurayrah that the Prophet Muhammad said that Allah has appointed for everyone who has a right what is due to him, and no bequest must be made to an heir. This means that each person who is entitled to receive something from an inheritance should not have any additional gifts or money given directly from the deceased person's estate. Instead, these gifts should go through the proper channels so that all heirs are treated fairly and equally according to their rights as determined by Allah. The lesson here is that we must always ensure fairness in our dealings with others, especially when it comes to matters of inheritance and wealth distribution.
