Burning of Dhu Al Khalasa

SUMMARY: The Prophet asked Jarir to go to Dhu Al Khalasa and burn it, which he did. He then sent a man from Ahmas to give the Prophet good tidings.

Jarir (bin 'Abd Allaah) said "The Apostle of Allaah said to me "Why do you not give me rest from Dhu Al Khalasa? He went there and burned it. He then sent a man from Ahmas to the Prophet to give him good tidings. His surname was Artah.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو تَوْبَةَ الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، عَنْ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ جَرِيرٍ، قَالَ قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ "‏ أَلاَ تُرِيحُنِي مِنْ ذِي الْخَلَصَةِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ فَأَتَاهَا فَحَرَّقَهَا ثُمَّ بَعَثَ رَجُلاً مِنْ أَحْمَسَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ يُبَشِّرُهُ يُكْنَى أَبَا أَرْطَاةَ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet asking Jarir bin 'Abd Allaah to go and burn down a place called Dhu Al Khalasa. After doing so, he sent a man from Ahmas with good tidings for the Prophet. This hadith teaches us that we should always obey the orders of our elders and leaders, even if they seem difficult or strange at first. It also teaches us that we should be grateful for any good news that comes our way and share it with others in order to spread joy and happiness.
