QUICK LESSONS:
Protecting innocent lives during times of war
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks to the importance of protecting innocent lives during times of war. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) forbade the killing of women and children in battle as they are not combatants. This hadith teaches us that even during times of conflict, we must strive to protect those who are vulnerable and innocent. It is a reminder that war should only be used as a last resort when all other options have been exhausted. We must also remember that even if we do go to war, we should still strive for justice and mercy by avoiding unnecessary violence against non-combatants such as women and children.
