Seek refuge in Allah whenever faced with danger or fear; Be mindful of safety when travelling; Ask for protection before embarking on a journey; Remember that only through seeking refuge can one truly be safe and secure.

In this hadith, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was travelling and when night came on, he sought refuge in Allah from the evil of what was on the earth. He asked for protection from lions, large black snakes, other snakes, scorpions and jinn that inhabit a settlement. He also asked for protection from a parent and his offspring. This hadith teaches us to seek refuge in Allah whenever we are faced with any kind of danger or fear. It also teaches us to be mindful of our safety when travelling by asking for protection before embarking on a journey. We should always remember that no matter how much we try to protect ourselves physically, it is only through seeking refuge in Allah that we can truly be safe and secure.
