EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith tells us that the Prophet Muhammad had a silver pommel on his sword. It is narrated by Sa'id ibn AbulHasan, and it is not known if anyone else has supported this tradition. This shows us that the Prophet was very careful with how he presented himself, and wanted to make sure he looked dignified and respectable in public. He also wanted to show people that he was a leader who could be trusted and respected.
