EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad was informing his followers that the days of Arafah, sacrifice and tashriq are special occasions for Muslims to celebrate. These three days are known as Eid al-Adha or the Festival of Sacrifice. On these days Muslims commemorate Abraham's willingness to sacrifice his son Ishmael in obedience to God's command. They also remember how God provided a ram in place of Ishmael as a sign of His mercy and grace. During these three days Muslims gather together with their families and friends to feast on delicious food and exchange gifts with one another in celebration.
