Sahih al-Bukhari 2374 (Book 42, Hadith 22) #2271
Working Hard is Better than Asking for Help

SUMMARY: It is better to work hard and earn your living than to rely on someone else for help.

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Messenger said, "No doubt, you had better gather a bundle of wood and carry it on your back (and earn your living thereby) rather than ask somebody who may give you or not".
