QUICK LESSONS:
Fast during Shaban .

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by Umm Salamah, Ummul Mu'minin states that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) used to fast the entire month of Sha'ban in addition to fasting during Ramadan. This is an important teaching as it shows us how devoted and dedicated the Prophet was towards his faith and how he strived for spiritual excellence. It also serves as a reminder for us that we should strive for spiritual excellence too and use our time wisely by engaging in acts of worship such as fasting. Additionally, this hadith teaches us about moderation; while it is important to engage in acts of worship such as fasting, we should not overdo it or exhaust ourselves physically or spiritually. We should strive for balance between physical and spiritual health.
