Try and restore relationships whenever possible; strive for peace and reconciliation between couples; build upon what already exists instead of starting something new when restoring a relationship; respect marital relationships.

This hadith speaks about the importance of restoring marital relationships. It is narrated by Abdullah ibn Abbas that the Messenger of Allah restored his daughter Zaynab to her husband Abul'As on the basis of their previous marriage. This shows us that even in difficult situations such as this one, it is important to try and restore a relationship if possible. The Prophet's example teaches us that we should always strive for peace and reconciliation between couples whenever possible. We should also remember that it is not necessary to start something new when restoring a relationship; rather, we can build upon what already exists and work towards making things better than before.
