Sunan Abi Dawud 2221 (Book 13, Hadith 47) #22512
The Sin of Premature Intercourse

SUMMARY: A man committed a sin by having intercourse with his wife before atoning for it. He was asked what moved him to do this and he replied that he saw her whiteness in moonlight. He was told to stay away from her until he expiated for his deed.

Narrated Ikrimah: A man made his wife like the back of his mother. He then had intercourse with her before he atoned for it. He came to the Prophet and informed him of this matter. He asked (him): What moved you to the action you have committed? He replied: I saw the whiteness of her shins in moon light. He said: Keep away from her until you expiate for your deed.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about a man who committed a sin by having intercourse with his wife before atoning for it. When the Prophet asked him what moved him to do this, the man replied that he saw her whiteness in moonlight. The Prophet then told him to keep away from her until he expiated for his deed, which means that the man must make up for his mistake by doing something good or giving something of value as an apology or compensation. This hadith teaches us that we should not act on our impulses and instead think carefully about our actions and their consequences before we do anything wrong or sinful. We should also be aware of our surroundings and take care not to be tempted into doing something wrong due to external factors such as beauty or attraction. Finally, if we ever make mistakes, we should try our best to make up for them through repentance and good deeds so as not to incur Allah's wrath upon ourselves.
