Distributing Land Among Soldiers

SUMMARY: Umar wished to distribute the land of conquered villages among soldiers, similar to how the Prophet (ﷺ) distributed the land of Khaibar.

Narrated Zaid bin Aslam from his father: 'Umar said, "But for the future Muslim generations, I would have distributed the land of the villages I conquer among the soldiers as the Prophet distributed the land of Khaibar".

QUICK LESSONS:
Be generous with resources; Share resources with those in need; Strive to emulate example set by beloved prophet ﷺ .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about Umar's wish to distribute the land of conquered villages among soldiers, similar to how the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ distributed the land of Khaibar. Umar was a companion and close friend of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and was one of his most trusted advisors. He wanted future generations to benefit from this practice as well, so he wished that he could have done it himself for them. This hadith teaches us that we should be generous with our resources and share them with others in need, especially those who are fighting for a just cause or defending their homeland. It also shows us that we should strive to emulate the example set by our beloved Prophet ﷺ in all aspects of life, including generosity and kindness towards others.
