QUICK LESSONS:
Respect family ties
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith, narrated by Abu Hurairah, teaches us that it is forbidden for a man to marry both his maternal and paternal aunt. This means that if a man has an aunt on his mother's side and another on his father's side, he cannot marry either of them. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us this lesson in order to protect the sanctity of family ties and relationships. He wanted us to be mindful of our familial obligations so that we can maintain strong bonds with our relatives. By forbidding such marriages, the Prophet ﷺ was also protecting the rights of women in society as well as preserving their dignity and respect within families.
