Give your land freely to your brothers when they need it.

This hadith is about the Prophet's encouragement for people to give their land free of charge to their brothers instead of charging them a fixed rental. Ibn 'Abbas was one of the most learned men in his time and he told Tawus that the Prophet did not forbid sharecropping but said it was more beneficial for one to give his land free than charge a fixed rental.
