The Deal with Khaibar

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) made a deal with the people of Khaibar that they would receive half of the fruits and vegetation from the land they cultivated.

Narrated Ibn 'Umar: The Prophet made a deal with the people of Khaibar that they would have half the fruits and vegetation of the land they cultivated.
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ عَامَلَ النَّبِيُّ خَيْبَرَ بِشَطْرِ مَا يَخْرُجُ مِنْهَا مِنْ ثَمَرٍ أَوْ زَرْعٍ‏.‏

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about a deal that was made between the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and the people of Khaibar. The agreement was that in exchange for cultivating their land, they would receive half of all fruits and vegetation produced on it. This hadith teaches us to be fair in our dealings with others and to ensure that everyone involved is getting what is due to them. It also shows us how important it is to keep our word when making agreements or deals as this was something very important to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
