Throwing Pebbles at Jamrah During Nighttime

SUMMARY: Asma' reported that during the lifetime of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), they used to throw pebbles at the Jamrah at night.

Ata' said: A reporter reported to me about Asma' that she threw pebbles at the Jamrah at night. I said: We threw pebbles (at the Jamrah) at night. She said: We used to do so in the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah .
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَلاَّدٍ الْبَاهِلِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَطَاءٌ، أَخْبَرَنِي مُخْبِرٌ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ، أَنَّهَا رَمَتِ الْجَمْرَةَ قُلْتُ إِنَّا رَمَيْنَا الْجَمْرَةَ بِلَيْلٍ ‏.‏ قَالَتْ إِنَّا كُنَّا نَصْنَعُ هَذَا عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about throwing pebbles at the Jamrah during nighttime. It was reported by Ata', who heard it from a reporter about Asma'. According to this hadith, it was a practice of Prophet Muhammad's time to throw pebbles at the Jamrah during nighttime. This shows us that we should follow in his footsteps and do as he did. We can learn from this hadith that we should be devoted to our faith and perform religious rituals with dedication and sincerity. It also teaches us that we should take part in activities which are beneficial for our spiritual growth even if they are done late in the night or early morning.
