Hisham bin 'Urwah reported on the authority of his father Usamah bin Zaid was asked when I was sitting along with him, how did the Apostle of Allaahﷺ travel during the Farewell Pilgrimage when he proceeded from 'Arafah to Al Muzdalifah? He replied he was travelling at a quick pace and when he found an opening he urged on his Camel. Hisham said "Nass(running or urging on the Camel) is above 'anaq(going at a quick pace)".
The Arabic terms used here are Safar (سَفَرْ) which means travel; Sariq (سَارِقْ) which means running or urging on; and Anaq (أناقْ) which means going at a quick pace. These terms help us understand how the Prophet Muhammad was travelling during this journey - quickly but efficiently!
