The Places of Sacrifice and Stationing

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) taught that the whole of Mina, 'Arafah and Al Muzdalifah are places of sacrifice and stationing respectively.

Jabir said then the Prophet said "I sacrificed here and the whole of Mina is the place of sacrifice". He stationed at 'Arafah and said "I stationed here and the whole of 'Arafah is the place of station". He stationed at Al Muzdalifah and said "I stationed here and the whole of Al Muzdalifah is the place of station".
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ ثُمَّ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ‏"‏ قَدْ نَحَرْتُ هَا هُنَا وَمِنًى كُلُّهَا مَنْحَرٌ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ وَوَقَفَ بِعَرَفَةَ فَقَالَ ‏"‏ قَدْ وَقَفْتُ هَا هُنَا وَعَرَفَةُ كُلُّهَا مَوْقِفٌ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ وَوَقَفَ فِي الْمُزْدَلِفَةِ فَقَالَ ‏"‏ قَدْ وَقَفْتُ هَا هُنَا وَمُزْدَلِفَةُ كُلُّهَا مَوْقِفٌ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of certain places during the pilgrimage to Makkah. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught that when performing Hajj, one should sacrifice in Mina, station at 'Arafah and station at Al Muzdalifah. These three places are considered sacred for those who perform Hajj as they are part of the rituals associated with it. By teaching this hadith, the Prophet ﷺ was emphasizing the importance of these three locations during a pilgrimage to Makkah. He wanted to ensure that pilgrims would remember these locations so they could properly perform their rituals while on their journey. Additionally, this hadith also teaches us about respect for sacred sites as well as reverence for religious practices.
