The Prophet's Routes to and from Makkah

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) used to enter Makkah from a certain route and leave Medina from another route.

Ibn 'Umar said The Messenger of Allah used to come out from (Medina) by the way of Al Shajarah and enter (Makkah) by the way of Al Mu’arras.
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ كَانَ يَخْرُجُ مِنْ طَرِيقِ الشَّجَرَةِ وَيَدْخُلُ مِنْ طَرِيقِ الْمُعَرَّسِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the routes that the Prophet Muhammad used when travelling between his home in Medina and the holy city of Makkah. He would usually enter Makkah by way of a place called "Al Mu’arras" and leave it by way of "Al Shajarah". This hadith teaches us that we should follow in the footsteps of our beloved prophet in all aspects of life. It also shows us how important it is to respect places that are considered holy or sacred. We should always strive to show reverence for such places as much as possible.
