Locusts and Sea Game

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) taught that locusts are counted along with the game of the sea.

Abu Hurairah reported the Prophet as saying "Locusts are counted along with what is caught in the sea (ie, the game of the sea)".
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ مَيْمُونِ بْنِ جَابَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ قَالَ ‏ "‏ الْجَرَادُ مِنْ صَيْدِ الْبَحْرِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's teaching on counting locusts as part of what is caught in the sea. He was teaching his followers that when they go out to fish or hunt for game in the sea, they should also count any locusts they find as part of their catch. This hadith teaches us to be mindful and aware of all creatures around us and to take care not to overlook any living thing when we are out hunting or fishing. It also teaches us to be respectful towards all creatures and not take more than we need from nature.
