EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's practice of cupping while in a state of pilgrimage. Cupping is an ancient form of alternative medicine where heated cups are placed on the skin to create suction and draw out toxins from the body. It was reported that when the Prophet was wearing his ihram, which is a special garment worn during pilgrimage, he had himself cupped as part of his spiritual journey. This shows us that even though we may be undertaking spiritual practices such as Hajj or Umrah, it does not mean we should neglect our physical health and wellbeing. We can still take care of our bodies by engaging in activities such as cupping or other forms of alternative medicine to ensure we remain healthy and strong for our spiritual journey.
