Rules of Ihram for Hajj and 'Umrah

SUMMARY: This hadith explains the rules of Ihram for Hajj and 'Umrah, and how those who put on Ihram for both Hajj and 'Umrah should not take it off until the tenth day.

Ai’shah wife the Prophet (SWAS) narrated: that we went out with the Messenger of Allah (SWAS) at the farewell pilgrimage. Some of us had put on Ihram for 'Umrah and some both for Hajj and 'Umrah, when the Messenger of Allah (SWAS) had put on Ihram for Hajj only.He who had put on Ihram for 'Umrah, put off Ihram after performing 'Umrah and he who had worn Ihram both for Hajj and 'Umrah or only for Hajj did not take it off till the tenth (of the month).
حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الأَسْوَدِ، مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ نَوْفَلٍ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ قَالَتْ خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ عَامَ حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ فَمِنَّا مَنْ أَهَلَّ بِعُمْرَةٍ وَمِنَّا مَنْ أَهَلَّ بِحَجٍّ وَعُمْرَةٍ وَمِنَّا مَنْ أَهَلَّ بِالْحَجِّ وَأَهَلَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ بِالْحَجِّ فَأَمَّا مَنْ أَهَلَّ بِالْحَجِّ أَوْ جَمَعَ الْحَجَّ وَالْعُمْرَةَ فَلَمْ يَحِلُّوا حَتَّى كَانَ يَوْمُ النَّحْرِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith explains the rules regarding wearing ihram when going on pilgrimage to Makkah. It is narrated by Aishah, wife of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Those who are performing both Hajj and Umrah must wear ihram at the beginning of their journey, but they must not take it off until after they have completed their pilgrimage on the tenth day. The teachings from this hadith are that Muslims should follow all religious rituals with utmost respect and dedication in order to gain Allah's blessings. Additionally, this hadith also teaches us that we should always be mindful about following religious laws as prescribed by Allah SWT in order to gain His mercy.
