QUICK LESSONS:
Raise your voice in prayer to show reverence for Allah

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's practice of raising his voice when reciting the talbiyah. The talbiyah is a prayer that Muslims recite during Hajj and Umrah to declare their intention to perform these pilgrimages. It is also a reminder of Allah's greatness and power. In this hadith, we learn that even though the Prophet was wearing matted hair - which was a sign of humility - he still raised his voice when reciting the talbiyah as an act of reverence for Allah. This teaches us that we should always be mindful of our actions and words when expressing our devotion to Allah, no matter what situation we are in or how humble we may feel.
