QUICK LESSONS:
Be generous no matter how much or little you have

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the generosity of Ali ibn Abu Talib. It is narrated that he found a dinar, which is a form of currency, and used it to purchase some flour. The seller recognized him and returned the dinar to him out of respect for his status as one of Prophet Muhammad's companions. Instead of keeping the money for himself, Ali decided to use it in another way by deducting two qirat from it and purchasing meat with what was left over. This story shows us how generous Ali was even when he did not have to be; instead of keeping all the money for himself, he chose to share his wealth with others by buying them food. It also teaches us that we should always be generous no matter how much or little we have because even small acts can make a big difference in someone else's life.
