Give out charity after consulting with Allah first and understanding who is truly deserving of it. Understand that there are certain people who are more deserving than others when it comes to receiving charity.

This hadith is about the importance of charity and how it should be distributed. It was narrated by Ziyad ibn al-Harith as-Suda'i who came to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He told a long story before asking for some charity from the Prophet. The Prophet then said that Allah has divided those entitled to charity into eight categories and if one falls within these categories, they will be given what they desire.
