EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of paying sadaqah with gratitude and generosity. It tells us that even if we don't have much to give away as charity, we should still be generous and thankful for whatever we can offer. The hadith also shows us that it is important to be flexible when giving charity and not just stick to one type of donation; if wheat isn't available then barley can be used instead. This teaches us that it is more important to give than what you are giving away; the act of giving itself has a great reward from Allah SWT regardless of how much you are able to donate.
