Respectfully listen when someone else is reciting verses from The Qur’ an even if they are doing so differently than you have been taught; Delay speaking sharply; Bring any questions you may have regarding differences in readings/recitations directly to a knowledgeable source such as a teacher or scholar; Read/Recite according To What Comes Most Easily For You Personally .

This hadith speaks to the importance of reciting the Quran in different ways as it was revealed by Allah SWT. It is narrated that 'Umar b. al-Khattab heard Hisham b. Hakim recite Surah al-Furqan differently from how he himself had been taught to recite it by Prophet Muhammad SAWW. He nearly spoke sharply to him but delayed until he finished his recitation before catching his cloak at the neck and bringing him to Prophet Muhammad SAWW for clarification on which way was correct for reciting this surah of the Quran. The Prophet SAWW then asked him to recite it and upon hearing his version said “Thus was it sent down” before asking 'Umar himself to recite it as well and confirming that this too was correct with “Thus was it sent down” again after hearing his version as well. He then concluded by saying that “The Qur’an was sent down in seven modes of reading, so recite according to what comes most easily” thus emphasizing that there are multiple valid ways of reading or reciting each surah or verse from the Quran depending on what comes most easily for each individual person who reads or listens to its verses being read aloud - a reminder for us all today!
